In high school, our dear friend Lucy had a habit of “killing” songs by repeating them over and over as she drove. (She drove a cute green jetta. The same little car that a few of us were riding in, while stalking a special senior crush, when a curb was ramped and a tire was popped. Right outside that someone’s house. But that’s a story for another time.) Anyway, we joked Lucy about her song-killing habit, but I’m positive the rest of us did it, too (Back Street Boys, Tim McGraw, Mandy Moore, Phil Collins, you know). During our senior year, SB made a cd for Lucy entitled “Victims of the Repeat Button.” It included all of the songs Lucy had killed over the past few years. I loved the title and the cd, and I always think about it when I repeat songs in my car. Here are a few of my song-victims at the moment…

Hope you have enjoyed the weekend! We spent yesterday helping some dear friends move into their beautiful new house. It was a treat to be with them during an exciting time of new home-ownership.

On this Sunday afternoon, I’m trying to gear up for the week (ie-doing 3 loads of laundry, paperwork, assignments, and reading). Lately, I’ve gathered some songs that help me get through long afternoons of work. While SB is more of a music connoisseur than me, I’ve lately enjoyed some songs that are worth blogging about.

1. One Voice by The Wailin’ Jennys

2. Beautiful Dawn by The Wailin’ Jennys

3. Dog Days Are Over by Florence and the Machine

4. Young Blood by The Naked and Famous

5. Forget You by Cee Lo and Gwyneth

6. Firework by Katy Perry

7. Fly Away Home by EastMountainSouth

8. Tennessee Me by The Secret Sisters

How about some Spin Doctors? I love this song. Takes me back to third grade last night, as I was procrastinating while paper-writing (thank you, Pandora!).

Check out this fun playlist from the cute gals over at Shoes Full of Feet!

This will make those cold runs more bearable…Enjoy!

I watched Glee last night for the second time ever. Wasn’t Gwyneth amazing covering Cee Lo Green’s massive hit, “Forget [F&#] You”? Here’s a clip…
